Time For Christmas — Abundant Joy Ministries

Hi Friends,

Are you ready for Christmas? Neither are we! No matter what, it is on its way.

A door has been opened to Abundant Joy from the prison in Parchman, MS. This is a very large prison on approximately 18,000 acres and 2,542 beds. Last winter, we were allowed to spend a month ministering there, and later we were able to be there a week. We found this prison different that any prison we have ministered. This prison is setup to help these men change and succeed. That is right in line with God’s word.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

To say we are excited to help this prison is an understatement. The prison staff, along with the chaplaincy, has put together a way for the men personally to bless their children. It is called a Shopping Mall. The plan is for volunteers (like us), to gather the below items and get them to the prison. The next step is for the men to SHOP, WRAP, and SHIP presents for their children. It is hard to even imagine how much this will help build the men’s self-worth, along with the children receiving a touch of love from their father. In some situations, it could be used to restore relationships.

Our desire is not to fill a box to ship. Our desire is to fill a truck to deliver. This is a big undertaking, but with God all things are possible. Remember this is for 2500+ inmates. Deadline is November 10th.

Any Items of a Christmas

We are asking for your help. There are several ways:
